Sean Booth

Sean Booth is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with over 20 years’ experience in senior financial leadership roles across investment banking, private equity–backed businesses and litigation finance. He brings deep expertise in financial control, governance, reporting and stakeholder management within highly regulated environments.

Sean began his career at Ernst & Young before moving into financial services, where he spent several years at Deutsche Bank in senior finance roles. During this period, he developed strong experience in financial reporting, risk management and operating within complex, global regulatory frameworks.

He has since held a number of senior finance positions, including Group Financial Controller and Interim Financial Controller, across financial services, logistics and professional services organisations. His experience includes leading finance transformations, strengthening governance and controls, and delivering enhanced financial reporting to support board-level decision-making.

Sean has played a key role in supporting growth initiatives, including M&A activity, systems implementations and operational change. He has led the implementation of ERP systems, streamlined finance functions and improved efficiency across multi-entity, international group structures.

At Sandfield Capital, Sean is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial management, reporting and control framework. He works closely with the leadership team, funders and external stakeholders to ensure strong financial discipline, transparency and governance underpin Sandfield’s funding model.
